Many of us find ourselves asking, &#8220;What is my calling? What am I meant to do?&#8221; If you&#8217;ve ever pondered these questions, you&#8217;re not alone. In fact, discovering one&#8217;s calling often involves a journey of self-discovery and reflection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For some, their calling is evident from childhood, a passion or innate talent that guides them effortlessly. But for others, like myself, the path to finding our calling is marked by twists and turns, trial and error. I&#8217;ve traversed various professions \u2013 from teaching to entrepreneurship to writing \u2013 each one offering valuable lessons and insights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through these experiences, I&#8217;ve come to realize that my intrinsic drive lies in education, inspiration, and upliftment. Despite the changes in my career trajectory, this underlying passion remains constant. It&#8217;s the force that propels me forward, guiding me towards my true purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, how does one uncover their calling amidst life&#8217;s flux? It begins with introspection and attunement to the whispers of the heart. Here are some steps that have helped me along my journey:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Get Quiet<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Amidst the noise of daily life, carve out moments of stillness. Close your eyes, quiet your mind, and ask for guidance. Whether you call it God, the universe, or your inner wisdom, listen for the answers that emerge in the silence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Follow Joy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pay attention to the activities that ignite a sense of joy and fulfillment within you. What brings you alive? What makes your heart sing? Pursue those passions wholeheartedly, for they often lead to your true calling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Identify Resistance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Notice the areas of your life where resistance arises. What do you find yourself avoiding or dismissing? Sometimes, resistance can be a signpost pointing towards unexplored territory \u2013 a potential avenue for growth and purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Embrace Pain<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite our instinct to avoid discomfort, pain can be a powerful catalyst for transformation. It often holds valuable lessons and insights that guide us towards our purpose. Embrace the challenges, knowing that they may be shaping you for a greater calling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5. Pay Attention to Recurring Themes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>What patterns or themes consistently resurface in your life? Take note of the people, activities, or interests that keep drawing you in. They may hold clues to your true calling, waiting to be acknowledged and embraced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through these practices of introspection and observation, I&#8217;ve gradually awakened to my calling \u2013 a journey marked by uncertainty, but also profound growth and fulfillment. It&#8217;s a continual process of listening, learning, and surrendering to the path that unfolds before me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you find yourself grappling with questions of purpose and calling, know that you&#8217;re not alone. Trust in the wisdom of your inner guidance and the unfolding of your unique journey. Your calling awaits, ready to be discovered and embraced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, I invite you to reflect: What keeps coming back into your sphere? What whispers of the heart are calling out to you? Take note of these signs, for they may be guiding you towards your true purpose.
